Module 1 overview
Welcome to Module 1 of Worthycademy Cohort 5.0. Before you learn any tool, any platform, or any workflow, you need to understand the world you are entering. This module is your foundation. It gives you the mental map of the global VA industry, an honest picture of career possibilities, the technical setup you need to compete professionally, and the AI fluency that modern clients increasingly expect.
By the time you complete all four lessons and their portfolio deliverables, you will have a clear answer to four critical questions:
- What is a Virtual Assistant, and where do I fit in this global market?
- What does a realistic VA career path look like for me?
- Is my technical setup ready for professional remote work?
- Can I use AI tools effectively and responsibly alongside my clients?
| Lesson | Title | Portfolio deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1 | Understanding the VA Role | Self Assessment Worksheet |

INSTRUCTOR NOTE Each lesson in this module builds on the last. Do not skip ahead. The self-awareness you develop in Lesson 1.1 directly informs the goal setting in 1.2. The tool audit in 1.3 prepares you for the AI labs in 1.4. Work through them in order. |
